Please find on this page attached a number of the policies which have been agreed by Governors. There are other policies available at the school which are not published here. If you are looking for a policy on a specific issue, please contact the School Office for further information.

  • Joining Belmont Park is a different process from moving into mainstream school and involves parents/carers talking to us and the local authority in which you live. Our priority is for Waltham Forest children, but we take students from a wide variety of other boroughs and we support them in exactly the same was as our local students.   • We are committed to promoting good attendance and reducing absence, ensuring every pupil has access to full-time education to which they are entitled. See attached for our Attendance Policy.

  • Belmont Park is a special school for students for young people who have an EHCP with a primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

    Students feel welcome, happy and safe. The building is clean and well maintained. and the school is a calm learning environment. Good behaviour is promoted through a programme of positive rewards.

  • In accordance with the Educational Act 1996 sections 449-462, no charges are made to any registered pupil for any books, materials, equipment or apparatus during school hours. We apply the charging policy in line with section 457 of the Education Act. This allows charges to be made for residential school trips and artefacts made in school and taken home.

  • All students are encouraged to use the schools ICT facilities to support their learning. However, we ask that all students respect the school ICT equipment and facilities. By logging on to the school computer network and/or using the schools ICT equipment, students agree to the contents of this policy. See attached for our ICT Policy

  • Our retention schedule describes the time periods for which records should be retained by the School in order to comply with operational and legal requirements, including data protection legislation. See attached our Record Retention Schedule.

  • Every parent and every school wants to see children grow up safely and be able as an adult to enjoy the positive benefits of loving, rewarding and responsible relationships. We want them to be informed and comfortable with the changes that will take place in their bodies during puberty. See attached for our RSE Policy.
