Our Curriculum

We believe that our curriculum must not cap the ambitions of our students and should be based on the principles of challenge, personalisation and depth. We strive to make learning enjoyable and relevant with our focus on healthy choices through sports and food, and creativity through art, product design and music.

We continuously adapt our curriculum to make sure it meets the needs of our students and engages them in both their personal and academic learning. We use the Thrive approach to support students in their emotional regulation and make adaptations to subject areas using the NASEN Teacher SEND Handbook, and advice from our on-site specialists including our speech and language therapist and our educational psychologist.

At KS4 we offer a range of courses ranging from Entry Level through to GCSE, as wellas vocational qualifications such as City and Guilds. Our offer is flexible and adapts to the needs of our students to ensure that they continue to engage in education or on to secure employment when they leave Belmont Park in Year 11.

Alongside our academic focus, we have encourage our students to work with the local community develop their social and emotional skills as well as to develop life skills.
