Headteacher’s Welcome
Our aim at Belmont Park school is to provide a quality learning experience every day in every lesson. We are committed to personalising learning, supporting and motivating our young people to engage with and access education. We are aspirational and offer a broad and flexible curriculum to suit our learners’ needs. Our aim is to equip our students with the knowledge and strategies to make healthy and informed decisions, to advocate for themselves and be successful.
Belmont Park School is a specialist school for young people aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. This includes diagnoses of ADHD, autism, anxiety; often these can be co-occurring.
As the headteacher at Belmont Park School, I am dedicated to working with our staff, families and wider professionals to commission the right support for our students so that they are able understand their needs, regulate their emotions and use strategies to be successful. Our aim is to embed consistently excellent teaching and uphold a culture of leading learning by removing barriers through understanding and working together.
As a community, Belmont Park School is
a family, with roles and responsibilities
a knowledgeable and trauma informed team who use evidence based strategies to inform our practice
a team which leads in what we do and acts with intent
a school where we hear the dreams and aspirations of our young people and we believe that they can all achieve
I look forward to strengthening relationships, building on the knowledge base of our staff and using our therapeutic team to continue to improve the quality of education for our young people and instil within our students a love for learning and skills to secure their place in the world.
